SMAN 1 Kota Gajah
showed its superiority among other institutions across Lampung by being The
General Winner of LOVE-Comp 2013. The school locked the trophy after collecting 47 points from all branches,
leaving its two-strongest competitors, SMAN 1 Gadingrejo and SMA AL-Kautsar
both in the second place with 43 points. For Kota Gajah’s squads, this title
meant a history as they were the first institution who could grab
back-to-back Champion after their first tittle in the same event last year.
LOVE-Comp 2013 had 5 branches of competition; Debate, Scrabble, Speech, News
Casting, and Storytelling.
In debate, #1 SMA
Xaverius Bandarlampung (Justine, Selvie, Hansen) also created history as back-to-back
champion after defeated its proposition #3 SMAN 1 Terbanggi Besar (Athifah,
Jovita, Cahya) upon the motion “This House Would Arm the Opposition of Assad”.
With almost the same line-up team which won the previous LOVE-Comp and broke into the Quarterfinal of ALSA-UI 2012
except the first-year student Selvie, they finished the competition without
losing their points. Tiara Ika Putri from SMAN 9 Bandarlampung which the team
failed to break, topped overall individual tab as The Best Speaker.
SMAN 1 Gadingrejo did
the same in scrabble, its students showed their consistency to be one of the
most powerful scrabble team in Lampung after creating all-Gadingrejo final. Even
one of its member, M. Rahmadi, claimed The Best Player tittle in this
competition.
Jovita Dinata from SMAK
BPK Penabur Lampung in other hand outclassed her competitors in final round of
speech competition while I Made Adi from SMAN 1 Kota Gajah took The Best
Humorous Speech as the side achievement.
SMA Xaverius
Bandarlampung also claimed another tittle after Tania became the champion of
story telling in LOVE-Comp 2013. The side achievement in this branch, Best-Prepared
Story, went to Nur Isnaini Romli from SMA Al-Kautsar.
News Casting
competition had Putri Dwi Pangestu from SMAN 10 Bandarlampung as the first winner
while Dhika Shafira Hidayat from SMA 9 Bandarlampung who came second in the
final brought home the side achievement of Best Live Report.
LOVE-Comp 2014 will
take the same time on the last week of January with possibility to have more
branches of competition and categories.
